Ton Sai Waterfall, Khao Phra Theao Non-hunting Area
The waterfall is located in the middle of the thick and pure jungle of Khao Phra Teao National Park. The national park office is only 3 minutes from Thanyapura where you can contact the experienced staff inside to lead you the way to get to the beautiful waterfall. The trekking path along the lush national park will make you fall in love with its shady greenish surroundings together with a variety of beautiful and rare floras. Baan Bang Rong
“Conservative Tourism, from Mountain to Ocean” is the slogan of Baan Bang Rong. Located in the same area of Thayapura, Thalang District, Baan Bang Rong offers a full day joy for some chill out activities in the middle of a huge lush mangrove. Upon arrival, there is an endless long walkway in the mangrove allowing you to observe the beautiful nature preserved by the local people in the area. At the end of your walk, you can fill your stomach at the local floating restaurant. Phuketian, as well as Southern-style cuisine, are the star dishes at the avenue. Apart from serving food, the restaurant also offers kayaking service with a paddler. The mangrove will certainly amaze you with many lovely creatures from blenny, sesarma crabs, heron to mud snakes (you are always safe on the boat).
Also, you can visit the goat farm belonging to the local villagers where you can feed and milk them. The farm is surrounded by their fruit plantation offering durian, longan, mangosteen, Cempedak and many other local fruits.

Gibbons Rehab Center
Right nearby Baan Bang Rong, there is the lovely Bangpae Waterfall where the Gibbon Rehabilitation Centre is located. The centre was opened in order to save gibbons that were illegally traded, to restore their body and mind before releasing them back into the woods, where they belong. In the centre, you will be allowed to experience the cuteness of the gibbons closely under the agents’ surveillance.

Wat Phra Thong
Wat Phra Thong or Wat Phra Pud (means Temple of the rising Buddha statue) is one of the most ancient temples of Phuket. The name comes from the way people found the respectful Buddha statue, with only half of the body above the ground. The earliest record about the statue was written in 1973. The much respectful Buddha statue is well kept in the main church with an exquisite interior and exterior. In the area, there is also “Wat Phra Thong Museum” where historical ancient items are kept waiting for visitors to explore. The museum opens daily from 7am to 5pm.

Soi Dog Foundation
Dog lovers’ haven is here in Thalang District! Soi Dog is well known for its kind activity of saving stray dogs and cats from the street, giving sterilisation services and take a good care to those men’s best friends. Soi Dog has a daily tour around their property where you will be greeted by lovely dogs and cats from the youngest to oldest age, who will look into your eyes to show you that they are very happy to see you. The foundation is open from 8am – 5pm while the briefing time starts at 9.30am – 10am before letting you tour around with the paws. You probably get a new buddy back home too!
